Projects

A set of Estonian learning games for kids, started for my daughter. Five modules so far: Kirjutaja (spelling — hear a word and pick g, k or kk), Korrutaja (times tables and division), Kell (reading a clock and working out time), Teisendaja (converting units) and Keel (English sentences: listen, read aloud, write). Practice is adaptive: the app remembers what went wrong and brings it back, and a mistake shows the right answer with an explanation. Each module has its own mascot, and kids can join a class and compete on a daily leaderboard. Works offline; no accounts, no ads; the code is open.

A small storefront for 3D-printed can and beverage accessories — printed to order, with multi-carrier parcel-machine shipping and bilingual EN/ET checkout.

The band. Music, releases, and whatever else lives at synghus.band.

An Estonian alternative-scene aggregator — events, merch, and releases in one place. Skene.info does not sell tickets or run events; each listing points to the organiser.

I have multiple cameras at my countryside house, but their built-in motion detection didn't distinguish a shadow or moving branches from an animal, person or dog. So I built a system, running locally on an old laptop, that watches the notifications coming from the cameras, runs them through an image-detection model, and sends me a Telegram notification when an actual event is detected.

I built an automatic heating system that pulls information from Wi-Fi thermometer sensors in each room and outside, and watches the local weather forecast and Nord Pool electricity prices. It then decides how much to heat based on each room's minimum and maximum temperature thresholds, electricity prices and the weather forecast. The system controls the temperature via smart plugs for the electric radiators and an air-source heat pump controlled by SMS.

A mobile tent sauna for rent in Tallinn — pick it up, load into your car, and heat it up wherever you like: lakeside, back yard or forest.
